So as a new(ish) blogger, I was searching Twitter for other bloggers, blogging networks and the likes when I stumbled across The Mad Blog Awards. I’m sure you can imagine my excitement when I learnt that people had the opportunity to win an award for their blogging efforts. I absolutely love this idea and it turns out, the Mads aren’t the only blog awards out there! People being nominated for any kind of award is always special but I think it’s extra special to be nominated for a blog award. There are some fantastic bloggers out there who share their lives with their readers, they pour their heart and soul into each post and they share their darkest secrets as well as everything else!
You can nominate your favourite bloggers for a Mad Blog Award here. They nominations are announced, voting takes place, the finalists are judged and then there is a lovely gala ceremony where the nominees can attend. There;s a chance for non- nominees to win tickets to also attend too! I nominated my favourite blogs earlier this week after a lot of note writing and scribbling – some of the categories I had 3 and 4 bloggers I wanted to choose. It wasn’t an easy decision but I finally after much thought made my nominations.

A crafty blog with Jaynes other hobbies from photography, to geocashing, cooking and more! I love Jayne’s style of craft and have many of her creations in my home. I buy her bespoke cards for every special occasion going because they are so special. My favourite creation of Jayne’s so far has to be this interactive, origami, handmade Harry Potter card. Simply amazing! Jayne is a new blogger so please show her some love and follow her!

Jade is a new blogger and tweeter I have recently followed. Her post dedicated to helping new bloggers like myself was pretty much what kicked me off again with my blog. She gave me ideas and inspiration to do it all. Jade is a young mum who blogs about her life with her gorgeous little boy, Spud. She also runs a lot of fabulous competitions of which I have entered myself today! Jade is a really friendly and lovely blogger and tweeter, well worth following!

This blog was lovingly created by the wonderful @WhimsicalWife and I absolutely love it! If you hadn’t already guessed, it’s a foodie blog! She shares recipes with her readers that she has tried and tested and she’s always happy to give advice and tips where she can! I love the way she keeps money saving in mind with her blogging and recipes as a young mum with a family, saving money is something I am very keen to keep up with! Go take a look at her lovely recipes, I bet you leave with your mouth watering!
Also known as the lovely @motherscruffer on Twitter. I love tweeting with her she’s an extremely friendly lady! Her blog is all about her family life and recently she’s been recording her toddlers potty training journey which is definitely something I’ll need to be looking at soon (I hope!). This morning she blogged a tutorial on how to make your very own tepee from a few bamboo sticks, a dowel and an old bed sheet. Sheer genius! She’s also been nominated for a MAD Blog Award!
Mothers Always Right
One of my favourite bloggers Molly writes about her daughter, her family life and her working life. Recently shes blogged a lot about organising family time and things to do with her toddler, Frog. I loved her spaghetti messy play post although not quite sure I am as brave as her just yet! Molly blogs about her life with such compassion, I love how the words just flow so freely when reading them. She’s also been nominated for a MAD Blog Award!

She recently found out that one of her daughters has diabetes after a very scary rush to A&E her little girl was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I don’t know any children with diabetes and to be honest, the thought had never crossed my mind but she posted a fantastic blog about the signs. Her daughter is now learning to live with diabetes and the blog posts about how brave she is really make my heart glow. I also love Northern Mum for her funny and sweary posts. She is an honest and real blogger!

My all time favourite blogger if I had to pick one! She is hilarious from start to finish. Her blog posts and her tweets have me in stitches most of the time. Her post about getting jiggy with her hubby are definitely one to look out for! She writes so open and honestly but with real humour in her words. She can often be found tweeting and blogging about gin. She’s also been nominated for a MAD Blog Award!
